There are eight races taking place at Bendigo this Wednesday the 16th of September.
There has been some rain in the area, and the track will be rated in the soft range.
Race 1 @ 1:00pm over 1100m
Fixated started his debut racing campaign in some hot races and was beaten by some pretty handy horses, including Hanseatic and Doubtland, who have gone on to win Group races. He finished that campaign by dropping back in class and being narrowly beaten at Ballarat and Geelong. He will get a good run in transit from barrier two in this first-up assignment, and he represents some value at his current quote.
2 Units Fixated @ $4.40
Race 2 @ 1:35pm over 2200m
William Pike partners up with Brent Stanley in the second race of the day. Seven-year-old gelding Red Alto will be asked to carry the big weight in this contest, as he drops considerably back in grade. He is more than capable of measuring up to a field that lacks a fair amount of depth and he’s worth each-way play.
1 Unit Each Way Red Alto @ $8.50/$2.60
Race 4 @ 2:45pm over 1600m
Jacin Talee has been racing consistently in recent times albeit at a much lower level than this race. She has placed in her last three races at Pakenham, including a very narrow defeat over the 1600m last start. The daughter of Choisir is a very progressive type of horse who has placed in exactly half of her 12 career starts, and if she can continue to improve, she can figure in this race. The lightly raced four-year-old mare drops down in weight for this assignment and she is well over the odds at her current quote of $20.
1/2 Unit Each Way Jacin Talee @ $26/$5.50
Race 6 @ 3:55pm over 1300m
Seberate was excellent when third in his first-up run at Pakenham, behind Music Addition. He usually takes a big step forward at his second run from a spell with a record of 4 starts 1:1:0. The son of Sebring has one start at this track and distance for one win and is used to racing in better company than this. He is being asked to carry the big weight in this contest but apprentice Michael Poy will use his claim to give some weight relief, which will help him in his quest to win his fourth race.
1 Unit Each Way Seberate @ $21/$5.00
